This past weekend at SneakerCon was nothing short of incredible for us at UMEI. We came in excited to share our vision, and love of fashion and footwear with sneaker enthusiasts. and we left blown away by the support, feedback, and love from the community.
The Energy
It was awesome to see the sneaker head community supporting futuristic footwear and designs. The futuristic designs, color options, and floaty feel of our 3D-printed slides and clogs sparked real curiosity. Sneakerheads, families, collectors, and casual shoppers alike stopped to try them on, and the reactions spoke for themselves. Smiles, double takes, and lots of “Wow, these are crazy comfortable.”
The Crowd Favorites
While the MNWLKR slides with the new side label definitely caught attention and sold very well. The crowd favorite was our new WAVE clogs. The response was unreal: everyone who slipped them on and found their size ended up taking a pair home. That’s the kind of feedback you can’t manufacture, it’s the best validation we could ask for.
Special Moments
One of the highlights was meeting an awesome kid rocking an astronaut tee that read “I need my space.” Of course, we had to gift him a pair of MNWLKRs. It felt meant to be. Moments like that remind us why we started this journey: to connect, inspire, and give people something that makes them feel like they’re walking on the moon.
We also had some amazing interactions with creators and streamers. Stay Focused Frank stopped by, picked up a pair, and immediately said, “Are those 3D printed? Those are fire!” And ImDavisss, who’s always pushing culture forward secured the last blue WAVE clog. Connecting with people who are open to new ideas, who embrace creativity and comfort in all its forms, was truly a highlight of the weekend.
